I liked all three recipes, but Drummond’s was the crowd-pleaser. Ree Drummond's recipe was everyone's favorite. It was everyone's favorite recipe, and the 16-minute prep time didn't hurt. Brown's sauce was my favorite of the group — even if it was my first time cooking with anchovies — and the texture of the breaded chicken was exactly what I was looking for. De Laurentiis' chicken Parmesan was my least favorite of the three, only because it didn't come with that heart-warming crunch that I've come to love from this meal.

A group of poultry producers, including the world’s largest, have asked a federal judge to dismiss his ruling that they polluted an Oklahoma watershed. Oklahoma's Republican Attorney General Gentner Drummond on Friday sued to stop a state board from establishing and funding what would be the nation's first religious public charter school after the board ignored Drummond's warning that it would violate both the state and U.S. constitutions. Drummond filed the lawsuit with the Oklahoma Supreme Court against the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board after three of the board's members this week signed a contract for the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual Charter School, which is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The school board voted 3-2 in June to approve the Catholic Archdiocese's application to establish the online public charter school, which would be open to students across the state in kindergarten through grade 12. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A federal judge in Tulsa declined to stop a new law from taking effect that makes it a felony crime for health care workers in Oklahoma to provide gender-affirming medical care to young transgender people. Heil wrote that the plaintiffs had not demonstrated that parents have a fundamental right to choose such medical care for their children. At least 22 states have enacted laws restricting or banning gender-affirming medical care for transgender minors, and most of those states face lawsuits similar to the one in Oklahoma. New York CNN —The “face” of the Hawaiian Airlines logo, which has decorated the tails of its airplanes for decades, has passed away. Leina’ala Ann Teruya Drummond, Miss Hawaii 1964, died of cancer Monday at the age of 77 in Hilo, Hawaii. The face is a “promise to our guests that we offer something no other airline can — the warmth, care and generosity that are hallmarks of our Hawaiian culture,” the airline explains its on website. CNN —Danelo Cavalcante, the convicted killer who escaped from a Pennsylvania prison, was seen overnight Saturday more than 20 miles from the search area where he was last reportedly sighted, according to state police. Cavalcante fled about two weeks after he was convicted of first-degree murder for the 2021 killing of his former girlfriend, Deborah Brandão, 33, in Chester County. Cavalcante was seen in or around Chester County’s Longwood Gardens – about 3 miles from the prison – several times last week. On Monday, a security camera recorded the fugitive at Longwood Gardens, authorities said. On Wednesday, a trail camera image showed Cavalcante in or around Longwood Gardens, but officials learned about this sighting Thursday evening, according to Bivens.

Katie Drummond will be the next top editor of Wired, overseeing the tech publication’s teams around the world. Condé Nast, the publisher of Wired, announced on Thursday the appointment of Ms. Drummond as its global editorial director. Ms. Drummond joins from Vice Media, where she was the senior vice president of global news and entertainment, in charge of Vice News and the company’s digital brands. Ms. Drummond will be the first woman to lead Wired in its 30-year history. Ms. Drummond, 37, was an intern at Wired in 2009.

July 31 (Reuters) - The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit on Monday on behalf of Oklahoma residents asking a state judge to block the creation of the nation's first religious public charter school. Oklahoma's Statewide Virtual Charter School Board, one of the defendants in the suit, in June approved the Catholic Church's application to create the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School, which would use millions of dollars in taxpayer funds to operate. Rebecca Wilkinson, the executive director of the statewide virtual charter school board, said in an email that the agency would not comment on pending litigation. Charter schools are publicly funded and independently run under the terms of a charter with a local or national authority. Listed as plaintiffs in the lawsuit challenging St. Isidore are nine Oklahoma residents and the Oklahoma Parent Legislative Action Committee.
